David Parton and Julia Andrews' wedding.
~ August 28, 2009 ~

The Partons have four children:

Jonathan Daniel, their oldest son, was saved on November 20, 1986. He has surrendered his life to serve the Lord in whatever capacity the Lord chooses for him. He graduated with his Master's Degree in Practical Theology from Hyles-Anderson College.

Cyndi Joy was saved on April 4, 1989, and has a desire to serve the Lord in whatever capacity the Lord has for her. She is now a graduate of Hyles-Anderson College. She and her husband Jacob attend Calvary Baptist Church in Canton, Illinois.

David Paul was saved on January 14, 1990. He is currently on staff at First Baptist Church. He is also involved the Sailor Ministry at Great Lakes Naval Base in Chicago. He married Julia Andrews on August 28, 2009. He graduated with his Master's Degree in Practical Theology from Hyles-Anderson College on May 28, 2010.

Jack Andrew was saved on April 24, 1994. He has surrendered his life to serve the Lord, and, like the other children, has a sincere desire to follow the Lord's will whatever it may be. He is now a senior at Hyles-Anderson College.

Timberline Baptist Church has a fun, exciting and inspirational family ministry:

Family Development -- Sermon content from the pulpit is geared to the specific needs of the church family. Sometimes that includes preaching on the family, child rearing, discipline, education, and etc. The pastor is available for counselling as the need arises.

Youth Department -- Timberline Baptist Church is in the process of building a strong youth department. Pastor Parton was a youth pastor for 8 1/2 years and served as an assistant pastor working with youth related ministries for a total of 11 years before becoming the pastor of Timberline Baptist Church. He serves as the pastor as well as the youth director! (The best of both worlds!)

Timberline Baptist Academy -- Timberline Baptist Academy is an educational ministry of TBC. Curriculum: Landmark's Freedom Baptist Curriculum, A Beka reading in the lower grades, Saxon Math, and Bible. Scripture memorization is heavily emphasized. K-12 is available. TBA is currently using this curriculum in a home-school setting.

Mother/Daughter Teas -- Our ladies have a Tea each year the Saturday before Mother's Day. Instead of having a banquet, we have a Tea/Luncheon with special things for mothers and daughters. There is always a special speaker including the pastor's wife.

Father/Son Steakouts and Campouts -- Guys don't do banquets like ladies do! We have a giant cookout & campout every year the Friday and Saturday before Father's Day. Steak, BBQ chicken, beans, 'tater salad, hominy, chips, and more (just "guy" food). No bird food here!
